Moon Panda – Rabbit

moon panda.jpgThere is a new indie dreampop group on the rise – they call themselves Moon Panda. We were awestruck with their haunting debut single Rabbit. The beat is simple, the guitar riffs are dreamy, the synths are psychedelic, and lead singer Maddy Myer’s vocals are ominous, and yet, so damn beautiful.

Fanclub – Leaves

fanclubLo-fi indie pop trio, Fanclub, recently released the dreamy single, Leaves. The garage-style guitar melody overlays a fast tempo and twangy synths. Lead singer, Leslie Crunkilton, vocals are warm, beautiful, and sings simultaneously at a low and high pitch. Fanclub hails from Austin, Texas and is new to the scene. Leaves is their debut single and has already found its way to the #13 on Hype Machine.

Me Not You – Imagine That

Inspiration can come from dark places. When a school shooting tragedy struck Santa Fe, the band Me Not You found themselves wondering what they would say to the man behind the gun before he carried out the horrific shooting. As Me Not You states, “the powerlessness overwhelms us.”

Me Not You’s track Imagine That, is complex. The melody is dark while Nikki Taylor’s vocals offer a light at the end of tunnel – “No one hears your voice. No one understands. Driving home alone. Lost inside your head. But you belong.”

Woodes – Change My Mind

Just a few months after dropping her second album, Golden Hour, Australian pop songstress, Woodes, brings us the infectious track Change My Mind. The melody is vivacious and vocals are heavenly.

The Melbourne native has earned some serious attention at home and abroad. Woodes’ previous single, Run For It, gained attention Rolling Stone, Pilerats, and was added to rotation on triple j. She is the real deal folks.
